Wassily
Wassilyevich Kandinsky’s painting: Abstract painting
Wassily
Wassilyevich Kandinsky was born on 16th December 1866 in Moscow. He
was an art theorist and Russian painter. His artworks were based on abstract concept
which gives freedom from nature that he admired in music. He used geometry,
landscape and texture to create his painting.
There
are a few researchers did research on his painting. Based on the researcher,
she stated that there are 2 ways to know the structure of Kandinsky’s painting
which are through lighting (ultra-violet light) and microscope. By using
microscope, we are able to see the painting surface, structure , outline of the
painting, position of two colors, different texture, painting hole, layer, rotation
of colors and the starting and ending point of the his painting.
Autumn
in Bavaria, Improvisation 7, Black Spot, Ravine Improvisation, Composition,
Black and violet, Contrasting Sounds and Yellow, Red, Blue were some of his
paintings.
After
did the research on Kandinsky and to practice the technique which taught by one
of my most respected lecturer, I would like to create my own painting based on
Kandinsky’s concept and theory.
Here
are some of the paintings which I did. From these artworks, I can see that I
still need to put more effort into it. I need to improve my painting skill.
This painting only consists of 3 primary color.
The elements which used is circle and line.
